Facebook made some changes earlier today which made it impossible for users of Chit Chat for Facebook to login – users whom attempted to login to Facebook Chat with Chit Chat were presented with a “Login Failed. Please Try Again” message.

We have now fixed this issue; however, you’ll need to install the new version of Chit Chat.

If you download and install the new version of Chit Chat for Facebook you’ll be able to login without a problem.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for using Chit Chat and apologise for any inconvenience experienced.

It has been reported that a minority of our users are receiving a "Login Failed. Please Try Again" error message when they try and sign into Facebook Chat using Chit Chat for Facebook. The likely cause is Facebook's new security features.

The solution to this problem is as follows:

1. Login to Facebook using your web-browser and select “Account” in the top navigational menu.

2. Select “Account Settings” – you should see something similar to the following:

3. Next, select the “Change” hyperlink which is adjacent to “Account Security” – change the option from “Yes” to “No” and press “Submit.”

4. Lastly log out from your browser and you’ll be able to sign into “Chit Chat.”
